eDigiCash is an all-in-one solution for instantly
adding multiple payment functionality to your web site.
eDigiCash gives you a turn-key Internet payment
interface, making the whole payment process transparent. You need only use
a standard order form to connect to the eDigiCash Gateway
and you are ready to accept all supported payment methods!
If you are not satisfied with a payment system or digital currency, just activate another
one! Switching between payment systems to obtain the best service
and the lowest fees is no longer a problem!
Payment processors may go bankrupt or into receivership (EMO), freeze your account
(PayPal, MoneyBookers), or change their policy (StormPay).
Other payment processors must stop their operation (1MDC, PayZip).
If you are not able to change your payment options rapidly, your business is in danger!
The recent actions started by the US Government against e-gold and Liberty Dollar
show that it is more important than ever to have several payment alternatives.
If you need an easy, secure and integrated payment solution for your web site,
eDigiCash is the ideal product, dealing seamlessly
with secure SSL connections, currency conversion, encryption/decryption, payment verification
and fraud detection.
No SSL certificate is required to use the eDigiCash Payment System, but we
recommend an encrypted connection (HTTPS) between the merchant site and the eDigiCash
gateway.

Payment Integration without eDigiCash
Without eDigiCash, payment integration is a lengthy
and expensive operation. Each interface must be coded and maintained.
Some DGC interfaces require PGP programming, SSL certificates and SOAP
skills.
Payment Integration with eDigiCash
With eDigiCash, you implement only one
interface. Then use the eDigiCash Administration Tool
to activate/deactivate payment options. eDigiCash
takes care of the rest, allowing you to focus on your business!
If you already use e-gold, you can call the eDigiCash
gateway in e-gold compatibility mode. Just replace the e-gold URL with
the eDigiCash URL. That's it!
Payment Process
A customer purchases products and/or services from the merchants web server
and clicks on the Pay button.
The customer is transferred to a secure payment form hosted on one of the
eDigiCash servers to select a payment method.
The selection list includes payment methods that have been configured and
activated by the merchant.
The merchant site can dynamically specify a default language for the payment request,
but the buyer has the option to select a different language.
If the buyer is not familiar with the billing currency, he or she can click the
other currencies... link to open a currency converter.
The customer selects a payment option.
If the selected payment system does not support the billing currency, the amount is
automatically converted to a supported currency according to the merchant's preferences
(backup currencies). In this example, the buyer selects Pecunix as payment
option. Pecunix does not support the Bahamian Dollar, so the eDigiCash payment
gateway selects the first available backup currency - in our example, the
Canadian Dollar - and converts the billing amount at the current rate.
If the buyer decides to proceed with the payment, he or she is redirected over an encrypted
connection to the selected payment server (Pecunix) to enter the required information and
confirm the payment.
The payment server returns a payment status to the
eDigiCash Gateway to indicate whether the payment
was successful or not. The eDigiCash Server
executes all necessary checks to make sure that the notification really
comes from the selected payment server. This includes verification of the IP
address, PGP signature and MD5/SHA1 digest when available.
If so configured, the eDigiCash Gateway returns an
Instant Payment Notification (IPN) to the merchant's web site to reflect
the payment status.
Depending on the payment status (successful or cancelled/declined), the buyer
is redirected to the PAYMENT or NOPAYMENT page at the merchant's web site.
If required, the eDigiCash Gateway sends a
confirmation email to the merchant's web site to reflect the payment status
and to report a possible suspicious transaction.
